It is currently 10:50 pm Saturday night and we are just finishing up Nel's solo song which will make us just about 1/3 of the way done with recording the album. We had a tough time getting here today however, because we first had to sing at Barack Obama's campaign rally on campus today. Then while we were heading out to the cities, Alex's van decided to drop it's transmission so we had to get our cars from Eau Claire, and take 2 cars to the cities. We finally made it safe and sound and are finishing up our 4th song of the album... it's been a good day, and we'll be back tomorrow for another good day of recording!! Stay Posted!

So its that time again where 5E heads to the recording booth to create what we hope to be the best album to date. We are starting our recording in the cities this weekend with the help our our good friend and pro-tools expert Jason Miller. We absolutely cannot wait to start this process and cannot wait until you all get to hear our hard work when the album is released this fall. Keep posted for more info on our recording process news happening this semester!

So after we got to Antigo, we were kept busy with loads of ping pong, darts, pinball machines, and tons of Monopoly. We did 2 workshops at the high school and 2 in the middle school. Thanks to all that came to those, you were very responsive to the workshops and asked great questions! That night, we had a night concert at 7:30 for a crowd of 300+. We had a great time in a great auditorium with a great audience. Thanks to Antigo's support, we are well on our way to start recording this semester. We then headed back on the road around 10pm and got to Port Washington (P-dubs) around 1am and crashed. We then went to Grafton today, and had a workshop with the choir just before noon. We had a great time again with you all, and we hope that you enjoyed what we do! So now, we just got done playing monopoly and are about to plan out the rest of the night and then will be going to Sweeny Todd tonight, and absolutely can't wait. And we will be going to Homestead tomorrow for a few more workshops. Stayed tuned for more updates!

Well, we just got done with our first day of tour and it went off without a hitch. We did two workshops and a concert at Menomonie High School, Alma Mater of our very own Alex Collie. We are now at my house sitting around playing guitar hero (a 5E tour must) and resting up for another big day tomorrow. We are going to be at Ashwaubenon High School working with both the high schoolers and middle schoolers. It should prove to be a great day!

It's the second consecutive semester with ZERO turnover in 5E! You know what that means? We're ahead of the game already! We just recorded our ICCA audition CD which will appear on the downloads page after it's been extracted from the recorder and converted to MP3. Rules stipulate that is must be a live recording with no post production, but these tracks still sound great! I hope you're all as excited about this semester as we all are. It is my (Jon) and Brad's last semester so we hope to go out with a bang! This semester's concert should be the biggest 5E show in history! We hope you all can be a part of it. Check the schedule page for details on our semester concert and other upcoming shows! See you in Schofield.

What a great year! The third place finish at ICCA, including a Best VP award, two awesome semester concerts, a GREAT spring tour (Thanks to all of you who helped make the tour possible) and of course, a brand new CD! Saying goodbye to Dan was tough for us, he will truly be missed. Thank you to everyone one who has supported us this year and on behalf of all of Fifth Element, I can truly say we are ready to come back in the fall and pick up right where we left off. Have a great summer.

The boys got to sleep in today after a very long day of singing and driving yesterday, but it was a ton of fun. We were in Ashwaubenon yesterday, the home of our newest member, Tony Meehl. We gave a concert and workshop. We had a blast and again, we had another great audience. A men's octet and a female barbershop quartet sang for us and MAN! That school had some talent. It was really great to see that level of singing at a high school level. We also got the priviledge of touring the Seroogy chocolate factory. We got to try a bunch of different choclates, but not for free of course! We sang for the employees of the store. That was really neat, both seeing how the chocolate was made and singing for the workers. Today we are off to do a workshop in Eleva, WI, then off to my house tonight in Waconia, MN.

Hey there! I am sitting in the living room of Anthony Meehl in the home of THEE Brett Favre, Ashwaubenon, WI. Chris and Kyle are currently playing our new favorite addiction, Guitar Hero. The gigs today were great. We sang in Merrill, WI at the high school, where Kyle Robl is from. We got to hear their choir sing, which was awesome! We did a short workshop and a concert with a GREAT audience. We should really get some sleep, since we have to be up at 6 a.m. tomorrow, but we will probably end up staying up all night playing Guitar Hero...
